FAMILY CAMP 2005

Friday May 13 (5 PM) - Sunday May 15 (10 AM)
St. Croix Falls State Park, Hinckley

Directions:  Take I-35 north to Hinckley, MN exit (about 60 miles).  Then take Hwy. 48 east to Hwy. 22, which will be the park entrance (about 15 miles).  Then it's about five miles on Hwy. 22 to the ranger station where you'll check in.  You will need a state park entry permit, which can be purchased there.  We are staying at Norway Park - rangers will give you directions.

 

Family camp is an opportunity to camp with your whole family in beautiful St. Croix Falls Park. Campers should bring sleeping bags and will be sleeping in cabins; some have electrical power. Food is provided in the central dining hall but  NOT FRIDAY NIGHT.

There will be biking, games, sports and crafts. There is the always popular campfire on Saturday night, including entertainment via skits and songs.

Cost is TBD. Registration forms will be distributed at the April pack meeting.

What to bring:

   v    sleeping bags, pillow (we’ll be sleeping on cots in unheated cabins)
   v    toiletries, including toilet paper
   v    "camp" clothes, extra socks (it gets cool in the evenings) 
   v    rain gear
   v    flashlight
   v    bug spray
   v    hat/sunscreen
   v    old jacket (for campfire)
   v    water bottle
   v    trail mix or similar snack
   v    softball equipment-gloves, etc.
   v    camera
   v    bikes
   v    sunglasses
   v    baseball glove, bats, Frisbee, balls-whatever you like to do outside!
   v    fishing gear
