Camp Akela is a unique opportunity for Cub Scouts and their accompanying adults to spend quality time together working on advancements and electives, enjoying recreational activities and learning about camp.

Activities include BB gun target shooting, archery, nature, crafts, outdoor skills, swimming, games, pony rides and much more during the weekend. Programs are age progressive.

Cubs and accompanying adult live in canvas wall tents with wooden deck, spring beds with mattresses. Indoor toilet and shower facilities are near by, as well as outdoor latrines. All program facilities and food service in a dining hall are provided.

Cost: $70 per camper. Outpost $25 per camper. Camping Dollars earned through wreath sales can be used to pay all or part of the cost.

Time: Arrive Friday 6pm, depart Sunday around noon

OUTPOST: Bears can stay the extra night and participate in Webelos  activities and work on requirements for Aquanaut, Forester, Naturalist and Outdoorsman. You stay in (after erecting it) your own Timberline Eureka tent, cook over an open fire, take a night hike, do a (long) outpost hike, have additional boating and swimming time, and  probably various other activities as time permits.
